RIIWHS202D ENTER AND WORK IN CONFINED SPACES

Our Confined Spaces course is one day nationally recognized course that will give you the knowledge and skills to conduct risk assessments, enter and work in confined spaces and act as a standby person. This course is designed for those working in or around confined spaces. With a high emphasis on risk assessment and safety precautions in confined spaces, this course will allow you to feel comfortable and confident to conduct work safely in confined spaces.

Our trainers and assessors will ensure you are site ready and have the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and efficiently undertake work in a range of working environments.

The course will teach you how to plan, prepare, enter and exit confined spaces. You will also learn about:

  • WHS Requirements
  • Hazard prevention and risk control methods

A 1 day course involving high quality face to face trainingat our training facility in Pinkenba, QLD.

Onsite training and assessing is available onsite at your company location. However, in such cases, we would conduct an inspection of the equipment that will be used to ensure the safety and conditions of the equipment is ideal for on-site training and meets the requirements for assessment.

There are no pre-requisites for this course however, you must be proficient (read and write) with basic English and be able to pass a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment

You will also be required to produce 2 forms of identification which should include a current photo ID. We would also require you to wear basic PPE such as hi-vis, safety helmet, boots (preferably steel capped) and wear sun protectionduring the training.

Any medical problems or health conditions are required to disclosed beforetraining commences.

The full course cost is to be paid prior to the commencement of the course.

Where requested a deposit of 50% of the course cost can be paid at the time of the booking and the balance is then to be paid prior to the commencement of the course.

All payments can be made using Direct Debit, Visa, or Mastercard. In the case of a failed payment or dishonored transaction, the enrolment of the candidate will be suspended. In such cases, you can seek a transfer to another course.

The course will teach you how to plan and prepare for articulated haul truckoperations,maintenance, loading, hauling and umping materials and conducting housekeeping activities. You will also learn about:

  • OH&S legislation

  • Drive, manoeuvre, conduct and control operations within the vehicle limitations

TLILIC2005 LICENCE TO OPERATE A BOOM-TYPE ELEVATING WORK PLATFORM (BOOM LENGTH 11 METRES OR MORE)

Typically known as EWP or WP operations, our course covers the functions required to operate a boom-type elevating work platform with a boom length of 11 meters or more. Licence to perform dogging is a high risk licence course and covers the scope of work required to demonstrate competency in applying slinging techniques, selection and inspection of lifting gear and/or the directing of the crane/operator in the movement of the load.

Dogging operations cover work in conjunction with cranes using slinging techniques, selection and inspection of lifting gear and directing the crane operator in the movement of loads. Dogging operations requires a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) issued by Work Place Health and Safety QLD (WHSQ).
