Our Scaffolding Courses are nationally recognised that will give you the knowledge and skills to safely construct framework in different working environments. Build up from basic to advanced levels and get more complex skills.
Possessing a scaffolding licence will enable you to safely construct working platforms for a variety of sites. Your high risk scaffolding licence will provide you with the right skills to understand what you are responsible for when constructing these work platforms.
Our Trainers and Assessors have a wealth of knowledge that comes from years of experience in the industry and will prepare you for life in the work force. Our highly skilled and friendly trainers will conduct the scaffolding course in a way that makes you feel comfortable, confident and ready to get a job in the scaffolding industry. We strive to provide real work conditions and teach you how to keep yourself and others safe.
The course will teach you how to plan, select and inspect equipment, set up tasks, erect and dismantle scaffold and scaffolding equipment. You will also learn about:
- WHS/OH&S licensing legislation
- Hazard prevention and control methods
- Identifying appropriate communication methods
- Appropriate footings for support are prepared to the appropriate standards
- Ability to check ground suitability
- Completion of handover certificates
- Tagging and isolation of damaged scaffolding equipment
Basic Level - erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the basic level, consisting of scaffolding work connected with the operation or use of modular or pre-fabricated scaffolds, cantilevered materials hoists with a maximum working load of 500kg, ropes and gin wheels, safety nets and static lines, and bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork).
Intermediate Level - erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the Intermediate level which includes use and operation of Cantilevered crane-loading platforms, Cantilevered and spurred scaffolds, Barrow ramps and sloping platforms, perimeter safety screens and shutters Mast climbers, and tube and coupler scaffolds (including tube and coupler covered ways and gantries).
Advanced Level - erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the Advanced level. Scaffolding consists of all intermediate scaffolding work including all other scaffolding work connected with the use and operation of Hung scaffolds and Suspended scaffolds.
This is a 5-day course involving high quality face to face training at our training facility in Pinkenba, QLD.
Onsite training and assessing is available at your company location. However, in such cases, we would conduct an inspection of the equipment that will be used to ensure the safety and conditions of the equipment is ideal for on-site training and meets the WHSQ requirements for assessment.
Basic Level (CPCCLSF2001A) - There are no pre-requisites for the basic course however, to undertake formal assessment and obtain a HRWL you must be at least 18 years of age and be proficient (read and write) with basic English. Intermediate Level (CPCCLSF3001A) – You must hold a valid Basic Scaffolding (SB) High Risk Work Licence or Notice of Assessment. Advanced Level (CPCCLSF4001A) - You must hold a valid Intermediate Scaffolding (SI) High Risk Work Licence or Notice of Assessment

We would also require the candidates to wear basic PPE such as hi-vis, safety helmet, boots (preferably steel capped) and wear sun protectionduring the training.
Any medical problems or health conditions are required to disclosed beforetraining commences.
50% of the course cost is to be paid at the time of the booking and the balance is payable prior to the commencement of formal assessment.
All payments can be made using Direct Debit, Visa, or Mastercard. In the case of a failed payment or dishonored transaction, the enrolment of the candidate will be suspended. In such cases, you can seek a transfer to another course.

On successful completion:
- Depending on the course level completed (basic, intermediate or advanced) you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for the specific unit of competency.
- LHRW Assessment Summary – AS1 form to apply for your High Risk Work Licence through Workplace Health and Safety Queensland
- Industry knowledge and skills to erect alter and dismantle scaffolding.
