WATER CART OPERATIONS

RIIMPO326D CONDUCT CIVIL CONSTRUCTION WATER CART OPERATIONS

Our nationally recognized water cart operations course will give you the knowledge and skills to operate a water cart in the civil construction industry. Water cart operations are undertaken on worksites for a variety of reasons, the training – whether on-site or at our training yard – will meet the needs of your site or the simulated site requirements to adhere to project plans and environmental requirements. The use of a water cart often involves working in conjunction with other plant operators to ensure successful operations on site.

Verification of Competency (VOC) courses also available.

The course will teach you how to plan and prepare for water cart operations,carry out machine operation, maintenance, conduct housekeeping activities and load, transport and distribute water. You will also learn about:

  • OH&S legislation
  • Hazard prevention and risk control methods
  • Carry out pre and post operational checks
  • Move the machine safely within and/or between work areas, observing relevant codes and traffic management requirements
 

Depending on prior knowledge and experience, our courses are run over 3 - 5-days involving high quality face to face and logbooktrainingat our training yard in Brisbane.

Onsite training and assessing is available onsite at your company location. However, in such cases, we would conduct an inspection of the equipment that will be used to ensure the safety and conditions of the equipment is ideal for on-site training and meets the requirements for assessment.

There are no pre-requisites for this course however, to undertake formal assessment and operation of the machine you must be at least 16 years of age, be proficient (read and write) with basic English and be able to pass a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment

You will also be required to produce 2 forms of identification which should include a current photo ID. We would also require you to wear basic PPE such as hi-vis, safety helmet, boots (preferably steel capped) and wear sun protectionduring the training.

Any medical problems or health conditions are required to disclosed beforetraining commences.

The full course cost is to be paid prior to the commencement of the course.

50% of the course cost is to be paid at the time of the booking and the balance is payable prior to the commencement of formal assessment.

All payments can be made using Direct Debit, Visa, or Mastercard. In the case of a failed payment or dishonored transaction, the enrolment of the candidate will be suspended. In such cases, you can seek a transfer to another course.

On successful completion:

  • You will be issued a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO326D Conduct civil construction water cart operations
  • Personalised wallet sized Operators Card with the unit of competency listed
  • Industry knowledge and skills to operate awater cart.

Subsidies are available for eligible candidates through Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ). CSQ is an independent industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices and career seekers in the building and construction industry.
