Getting certified with a dogging licence
The journey to becoming a certified dogger starts with successfully completing a nationally recognised unit of competency: CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging. After completing this, you’ll then be assessed by an accredited state safety regulator (WHSQ) to be eligible to apply for a DG Class High Risk Work Licence (HRWL).
Dogmen often advance to rigging tickets to enhance their skills and take on more responsibilities on site. Students will often even do dogging and rigging (basic) back-to-back.
