Are there any prerequisites for the Working at Heights course?
No prior experience or qualifications are required for the full course. If you are booking the refresher course, you must provide a Statement of Attainment or USI Transcript confirming prior completion of RIIWHS204E (or its successor unit) before attending.
What does the Working at Heights course cover?
The Working at Heights course (RIIWHS204E) teaches you how to identify fall hazards, select and inspect the correct fall protection equipment, and apply safe work procedures when working at height. You’ll learn how to correctly fit and use harnesses, lanyards, and anchor systems, and understand rescue procedures in the event of a fall arrest. Training includes both theory and practical components, and all study materials are provided on the day.
What do I receive once I complete the Working at Heights course?
On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS204E issued by Ascent Training Solutions, along with a Working at Heights operator card. The Statement of Attainment is your formal proof of competency and is the document you’ll need to present to employers and principal contractors.
