Dozer ticket course overview
Our dozer course is nationally recognised training that will give participants the comprehensive skillset needed to operate a dozer in the civil construction industry. The training will allow successful participants to work with the heavier aspects of earthmoving such as earthworks in the civil or mining industries. Completing this course could see you working on a variety of sites, from high rise construction projects to pushing stockpiles in quarries.
The course covers a wide range of topics to ensure each participant is well prepared for the diverse demands of operating a dozer, including; risk management, control procedures, technical operation, maintenance and how to operate the machine on different terrains and under various conditions, ensuring safe and effective operations in a variety of work conditions.
Verification of Competency (VoC) courses also available.
Delivery of this course is completed face-to face with a mix of classroom-based theory training and hands on practical training.

What does the Dozer course cover?
The Dozer course (RIIMPO323E) is nationally recognised training that gives participants the comprehensive skillset needed to operate a dozer in the civil construction or mining industry. The course covers risk management, control procedures, technical operation, maintenance, and how to operate the machine across different terrains and conditions – preparing you for everything from earthworks on high rise construction projects to pushing stockpiles in quarries. Training is delivered face-to-face with a mix of classroom theory and hands-on practical. Verification of Competency (VOC) is also available for those with existing experience.
Do I need a licence to operate a Dozer?
No High Risk Work Licence is required to operate a dozer. However, you must hold a recognised unit of competency – RIIMPO323E – to demonstrate you can operate the machine safely and in line with industry standards. Most employers and principal contractors require this as a minimum before allowing unsupervised operation on site.
What do I receive on completion of the Dozer course?
On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO323E issued by Ascent Training Solutions, along with an operator card. These are your proof of competency and what you’ll present to employers and site supervisors.
