Front end loader ticket overview
Our front end loader (FEL) course is nationally recognised and will give you the comprehensive skillset you will need to operate a FEL in the civil construction industry. This ticket will not only qualify you for earthmoving roles, but also opens up employment opportunities in the mining and agriculture industries.
On successful completion of the course, you will have the knowledge and skills to identify potential hazards, implement effective control measures, conduct maintenance checks, troubleshooting and operate the machine in a skilled and safe manner in a variety of work conditions.
The skills and knowledge gained from this course will ensure that participants can operate front end loaders safely and efficiently, contributing to the success of their projects and the safety of their workplaces.
Verification of Competency (VOC) courses also available.
Delivery of this course is completed face-to face with a mix of classroom-based theory training and hands on practical training.

What does the Front End Loader course cover?
The Front End Loader course (RIIMPO321F) covers the safe and efficient operation of a wheeled front end loader on civil construction sites. You’ll learn how to conduct pre-operational checks, load and transport materials, work safely around other plant and personnel, and carry out post-operational shutdown and reporting procedures. Training is competency-based and includes both theory and practical components.
Do I need a licence to operate a Front End Loader?
No High Risk Work Licence is required to operate a wheeled front end loader. However, you must hold a recognised unit of competency – RIIMPO321F – to demonstrate you can operate the machine safely and in line with industry standards. Most employers and principal contractors require this as a minimum before allowing unsupervised operation on site.
What do I receive on completion of the Front End Loader course?
On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO321F issued by Ascent Training Solutions, along with an operator card. These are your proof of competency and what you’ll present to employers and site supervisors.
