Do I need a Dogging ticket before starting Rigging?
Yes. This requirement may be met by either the successful completion of the unit CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging or holding a valid DG licence. If you don’t hold your DG yet, Ascent delivers the Dogging course weekly at our Richlands facility.
Which Rigging level should I start with?
Everyone starts with Basic Rigging (RB) regardless of experience. You must complete each level in order – Basic, then Intermediate, then Advanced. You cannot skip levels.
Are Rigging courses CSQ funded?
Yes. All three rigging levels are eligible for CSQ funding, reducing the cost to $500 per course for eligible Queensland workers. Eligibility criteria applies. Contact us to check your eligibility before enrolling.
How long does it take to complete all three Rigging levels?
Each course runs for 5 days, so the full pathway from Basic through to Advanced Rigging is 15 training days across three courses. Most students gain on-the-job experience with each licence before progressing to the next level.
Does Ascent offer accommodation for Rigging students?
Yes, on-site accommodation is available at our Richlands facility for regional students – subject to availability. Interstate students and regional Queenslanders can also arrange Brisbane airport pickup and drop-off. Contact us early to secure a spot.
