INDUSTRY FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR SELECTED COURSES*
Ascent Training Solutions offers basic, intermediate and advanced level Scaffolding Courses for those working or looking for work in the scaffolding industry. Scaffolding work includes the erecting and dismantling of a temporary structure used to support workers and materials when constructing and repairing buildings, bridges and other man-made structures. Scaffolds are commonly used on work sites where you need access to heights and areas that are generally hard to get to.
Our highly skilled trainers and Assessors have a wealth of knowledge that comes from years of experience in the industry. They will deliver incomparable training, providing you with the skills and confidence necessary to construct scaffolding in a safe and compliant manner. They will also guide and support you through your course and help prepare you for work in the industry.
Our Scaffolding courses at Ascent Training Solutions are nationally recognized. On successful completion, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment where you will be eligible to apply for an HRWL license through Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ).
The operation of our Scaffolding courses cover various aspects that include, but are not limited to;
- Knowledge and principles relating to plant and equipment stability
- Knowledge of various scaffolding and their application
- Scaffolding erecting and dismantling techniques
- Calculation of Safe workload and working load limits
- Risk assessment and control
The three scaffolding courses available are:
Basic Scaffolding enables you to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at a basic level using modular or pre-fabricated scaffolds, cantilevered materials hoist, ropes, gin wheels, safety nets, and bracket scaffolds. This course will help you to obtain an SB High-Risk Work Licence class.
- CPCCLSF2001 Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level
Intermediate Scaffolding enables you to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at an intermediate level using cantilevered crane-loading platforms, barrow ramps and sloping platforms, perimeter safety screens and shutters mast climbers, and tube and coupler scaffolds. A current SI class High-Risk Work license is required as a pre-requisite for this course.
- CPCCLSF3001 Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding intermediate level
Advanced Scaffolding enables you to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at an advanced level which consists of all intermediate scaffolding work along with the use of hung scaffolds and suspension scaffolds. A current SA class High-Risk Work license is required to undertake this course.

Our courses are delivered onsite at our training facility in Brisbane. with classroom-based theory learning, supported by practical skills training and scenario-based practical knowledge using a range of methods to support you through your course.
Successful completion of a scaffolding course with Ascent Training Solutions will give you the complex skills that will enable you to confidently and safely construct working platforms at various sites within the construction industry.

Possessing a scaffolding license in Brisbane will enable you to safely construct working platforms for a variety of sites. Your high-risk scaffolding license will provide you with the right skills to understand what you are responsible for when constructing these work platforms.
