Do I need any prior licence or experience to start Basic Scaffolding?
No prior licence is required to enrol in Basic Scaffolding (SB). Unlike the Rigging pathway, a Dogging ticket is not a prerequisite for scaffolding. You must be 18 years or older, have basic English literacy, and bring three forms of eligible evidence of identity (EOI) on the day.
Which Scaffolding level should I start with?
Everyone starts with Basic Scaffolding (SB) regardless of experience. You must complete each level in order – Basic, then Intermediate, then Advanced. You cannot skip levels.
Are Scaffolding courses CSQ funded?
Yes. All three scaffolding levels are eligible for CSQ funding, reducing the cost significantly for eligible Queensland workers. Eligibility criteria applies. Contact us to check your eligibility before enrolling.
How long does it take to complete all three Scaffolding levels?
Each course runs for 5 days, so the full pathway from Basic through to Advanced Rigging is 15 training days across three courses. Most students gain on-the-job experience with each licence before progressing to the next level.
Does Ascent offer accommodation for Scaffolding students?
Yes, on-site accommodation is available at our Richlands facility for regional students – subject to availability. Interstate students and regional Queenslanders can also arrange Brisbane airport pickup and drop-off. Contact us early to secure a spot.
